How far in advance should I book?

Portraits typically book four to six weeks ahead. Weddings book six to twelve months in advance, and peak fall portrait season (mid-September through early November) fills earliest.
Do you travel outside of Glen Allen?

Yes. We cover the entire Richmond region, plus Charlottesville, Williamsburg, and the Northern Neck without a travel fee. Anywhere further is quoted at cost.
Where will my session take place?

Either in our Glen Allen studio, at your home, or on location. Popular outdoor spots include Maymont, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Bryan Park, and a handful of private farms we love.
How many edited photos do I get?

It depends on the session type — typically 20 to 30 for portraits, and 600 to 900 for full-day weddings. Every digital image is fully edited; no half-finished previews.
Do I get the digital files?

Yes. Every package includes high-resolution digital images with full personal-use rights and zero watermarks.
What if it rains?

We'll either reschedule for free or move into the studio. Virginia weather is dramatic; we are flexible.
Do you offer payment plans?

Wedding packages can be split into three interest-free payments. Portrait sessions require a 50% retainer to hold the date.
How long until I see my photos?

Portrait galleries are delivered within two weeks. Wedding galleries within six to eight weeks. We always send a small sneak peek the same week as the shoot.
Can I print my own photos?

Of course — your digital files include print rights. We do recommend our partner labs for color accuracy, especially for prints larger than 11x14.
Do you photograph extended families?

Yes, and we love them. Groups of 15+ get a discounted rate and we strongly recommend booking the studio's earliest morning slot.
